I found this video very motivating  https://youtu.be/HwJebB49zao in a difficult time like this, when recycling companies all over Europe are facing a deep crisis, we must continue to believe in what we are doing.

Governments not only do not help recyclers, but continue to protect the interests of big oil companies, allowing them to slash the price of virgin resins and thus making the recovery of plastics already in circulation uneconomic. Yes, because the right thing was to use more and more recycled plastics and to cut down on the use of virgin resins and they do not like it!

Recycling is difficult: high energy costs, very strict laws, no subsidies. Think how much it costs to sort, collect, transport, wash and reprocess plastic waste. Yet, the alternative to recycling today is incineration.

Unable to compete with the new prices of virgin resins, many factories in Europe are closing, rather than working at a loss. The results are :

- Loss of employment for a large number of people

- Plastic, often already sorted and ready to be recovered, ends up in the market run by crooks who get paid to burn heaps and heaps of plastic in remote places on the planet.
